Core Connection: Pelvic Floor, Breathing and Abdominal Mechanics for Flow Practice (and life)

The "core" of the body is one of the most misunderstood regions and is often underused and overstressed. In this class you will learn some basic anatomy of your trunk and pelvic floor muscles and then move through a targeted vinyasa sequence, postural exercises and breathing practices to enliven strength patterns and soften grip patterns.

When engaged properly, your core supports your spine, your organs and your emotional health. Expect to work hard, relax fully and leave with a completely new understanding of your middle body.

Pregnant and postpartum folks encouraged to join!

Don’t miss the special opportunity to practice in person with longtime JPCY teacher Ame Wren. A former JP native, Ame’s lifelong study has relocated her to Virginia to pursue a PhD in American Religion.
