Yoga is an exceptional practice that takes diligence, fortitude, and a desire to change. It is not always a remarkable moment, with levitation, enlightenment, rainbows and sunshine. That’s what motherhood is for - ha ha. But seriously, yoga is a practice that is both practical and magical.
It is practical in the sense that it enlightens the subtleties of your Self. Seeing the interconnectedness of who you are, what you think and how you do things is one of the greatest gifts yoga can grant. Yoga is also magical and magic is very pragmatic. No magician ever pulls a rabbit out of the hat without first finding the breath. The magic of the breath is what infuses the body and mind with life and imagination. “It’s practical to be magical because the world is very big. It’s much more fun if you have a big mind for it.”, Nevine Michaan.
