JESS SALPIETRO (she/her)
I initially discovered yoga while exploring group fitness classes after years as a soccer player and runner. I was fascinated by the focus on alignment and breath and found myself sore in muscles I didn’t even know I had!
Over the years yoga became a constant in my life. I sought out studios in the Boston area and on the road while traveling for work, and found refuge in my practice. Yoga helped me to reconnect to my body, shift my focus away from stressors to my internal experience, and tap into my spirituality.
In addition to my yoga practice, I explored my creativity and honed my public speaking skills as a resident cast member at ImprovBoston. I learned the power of listening well and collaborating, following your fear, and occasionally looking kinda silly.
After over a decade of practice, I am honored to step into the role of teacher. In my classes, I aim to hold a safe and empowering space and assist students in building their self-knowledge through movement grounded in playfulness, curiosity, and respect.
