Yin Yoga: Summer Long Practice with Stacey Jackson-Flammia

This two-hour Yin Yoga practice offers summer wisdom and nourishment drawn from both yogic tradition and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

We will explore a full-body Yin Yoga experience, centering poses associated with the Heart and Small Intestine systems. During the summer, we focus on these systems due to their crucial role in regulating the Fire element. The Heart in particular is seen as essential for the making and circulating Blood, controlling the pulses, and housing the spirit. Combined with the Small Intestine’s role in separating what is useful from what is not, balanced Heart energy leads us toward acceptance, connection, and peace.

This workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced Yin Yoga practitioners. We will dedicate extra time to familiar poses from our weekly classes – as well as the opportunity to explore some complicated poses rarely offered in a shorter practice – allowing for a deeper exploration of Yin Yoga through breath and posture. This approach will promote ease and stability, culminating in a rejuvenating, long Savasana to fully absorb the benefits.
