Sacred Rest with Brenna Matthews

Why is deep, intentional rest so important? There is a long list: It can help balance the pace of life, has a positive impact on the nervous and immune systems, can offer more regular sleep and digestion patterns, and may improve memory and brain function, to name a few.

The Yogis, however, had yet another reason for exploring deep, trustful surrender: to experience Turiya or pure consciousness. This is the state beyond waking, sleeping and dreaming, where there are no limitations or conditions.

Brenna Matthews will lead you through 2 hours of asana, pranayama, and restorative postures, closing with yoga nidra as a way to explore this process of trustful surrender and sacred rest.
