The Art of Restorative Assists: Skills Training with Alex Bauermeister and Brenna Matthews

Join Alex Bauermeister and Brenna Matthews for a day of hands-on assisting training with a focus on restorative yoga poses.

Through partner practice, giving and receiving feedback, presentation, and discussion, you'll deepen your skills in offering trauma-informed yoga assists that focus on nervous system regulation, grounding, and relaxation.

Whether you're looking to bring restorative assists to group classes or private clients, you'll gain wisdom around:

  • What supports trauma-informed, consent-based, healing touch (and what undermines it).

  • Sustainable body mechanics & energetic awareness to take care of yourself while taking care of others.

  • Specific alignment-informed assists applicable to restorative yoga postures.

Please come with some previous exposure to restorative yoga postures, but no previous bodywork or yoga teaching experience required.
