Karma and Dhyana Through the Practice of Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga Yoga asana is designed to steady the body and mind, thereby cultivating an environment in which we can navigate the notion of Karma. Karma refers to the imprints and consequences of our thoughts and actions.

We will explore how Karma manifests in our conscious awareness, how to identify karmic conditioning and what is possible beyond its limiting function. We will engage in practices that are intended to cultivate Dhyana, an awakened state of equanimity which is free of past conditioning. The purpose of this workshop is to make the work of “self” actualization more tangible, practical and real.

This is an experiential workshop and consists of guided Ashtanga Yoga practice ( beginners welcome and encouraged), meditation instruction and practice, chanting, group processing and journaling. Be prepared to participate!

The workshop time includes a 30 minute break after a 90 minute class, around 1:30 PM.
