LISA SCHWARZ (she/her)

I have been practicing yoga since 1995 when I moved to Boston and teaching since 2011. I am a five-time marathon runner; yoga made me a far better runner and a better human overall.

I completed my 200 hour teaching training in 2011 at Prana Power Yoga, and completed a 100 hour training in 2019 with YogaWorks.

I have had the privilege of studying with amazing teachers in Boston and around the country, and teaching incredible communities of students in Boston, Cambridge, Wellesley, Newton, Needham, and Medfield.

What You Can Expect From My Classes

In my classes, you will find first-time beginners, seasoned teachers, and everyone in between. I focus on alignment, building strength, treating your body with grace, and finding joy through practice. I am committed to students leaving class feeling better than when they walked in. You will find me to be your biggest cheerleader (especially if you want to go straight to savasana). I have ready suggestions for making poses more accessible or more challenging. I am an avid reader - don't be surprised if I mention the latest article touting the benefits of yoga, meditation, and breathing.
