LAURÉN OCASIO (she/her)

I first began practicing yoga as an undergrad at Northeastern. I found that the centering and stillness of the mind I experienced from practicing yoga was a vital antidote to the stresses and challenges in my life at the time. Since then, I have returned to yoga, time and time again, for the joy and peace it brings me.

I was inspired to begin yoga teacher training out of a desire to share this feeling with others, particularly those looking for ways to manage stress, and stave off burnout. I have experienced the effects of unchecked stress on not just my mental but also physical wellbeing, and am passionate about helping others to find some relief, as I have, via their yoga practice.

In 2024 I was so grateful to have completed my 200 hr training at JPCY with Daniel Max and Alana Brennan and thus begin my journey as a yoga teacher.

I have a background in dance and more recently have become involved with throwing dance parties and DJing locally.

What You Can Expect From My Classes

I particularly enjoy teaching classes that unite movement and breath with sound, but above all, are spaces where all feel welcome. I hope others can cultivate their own joy and peace within my classes.
