ADELINE GUTIERREZ NUNEZ (she/her)

My first time practicing yoga was in the auditorium stage of my high school. The class was hard, awkward, and I never thought I would return again.

I was amazed when I laid in Savasana for the first time. Before yoga, I witnessed my grandmother lay on the floor and understood how beneficial it was. But focusing on my breath felt profound. I hadn’t taken a deep breath before.

Throughout college I continued to take yoga classes, and it slowly became my anchor. In the midst of self-doubt, joy, injuries, and uncertainties, I’ve returned to the mat to deepen my relationship with myself, the earth, and others.

I am filled with gratitude that I joined JPCY’s 200 hour training program in 2024, and I can now offer this medicine to help others return home to themselves. This past summer, I taught high school students in the Harvard Crimson Program, and at Franklin Park. I am presently teaching Yoga at Boston University.

What You Can Expect From My Classes

In my classes, I encourage everyone to meet themselves where they are and allow their bodies to be their teachers. I encourage my students to adopt a beginners mindset. A beginner’s mindset allows us to prioritize play, expansiveness, and agency.
