My first experience of yoga was on an island in Thailand in the midst of a two-year backpacking adventure. Through my background in meditation I had developed a sense for observing the inner workings of the mind and body. In my first yoga class I discovered my ability to not only observe, but also create change: to connect to the areas within that felt ‘stuck’ and to engage them in a way that felt profoundly healing.

Born in Israel, I came to the U.S. in my early 20s. Here, through my studies, I became certified as a shiatsu practitioner, massage therapist, yoga instructor, and nutrition and health counselor (through The Institute for Integrative Nutrition and The Institute for the Psychology of Eating.)

When teaching yoga, my style has evolved into a breath-based vinyasa flow with the precision of alignment influenced by the Anusara, Forrest, and Iyengar traditions.

When working as a nutrition counselor, I draw from all dietary theories – Eastern and Western nutrition – finding what works best for each individual.

I am forever grateful to Roman Szpond, David Vendetti, Todd Norian, Ann Greene, Joshua Rosenthal, and Marc David for all their guidance leading me into leadership.

As co-founder and director of JP Centre Yoga, I am blessed with the endless support of my incredible co-founder Sejal Shah and the JPCY community at large.
